Gainwell is currently seeking a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Alabama who is also a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or actively working toward CPC certification (must be certified within 12 months of employment). This is a critical role that combines clinical expertise with claims‑processing accuracy.

Job Functions

  • Process complex claims that suspend for manual review.
  • Develop and deliver client reports on a weekly and monthly basis to meet contractual requirements.
  • Review and process consent forms to approve or deny claims.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

What we're looking for

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Alabama.
  • Certified Professional Coder or actively working toward CPC certification within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Ability to work the hours necessary to meet all deadlines and objectives.
  • Willingness to assist other areas of the department and account as needed.
  • Ability to analyze reports and identify trends that may indicate issues with claims processing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to multi‑task and handle multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to memorize and retain information.

What you should expect in this role

  • Candidate must be a resident of the state of Alabama
  • Monday–Friday work schedule
  • On‑site in the Alabama office five days a week
  • No travel required

This position is for pipeline purposes, and we welcome applications on an ongoing basis.

The pay range for this position is $48,300.00 - $69,000.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
