
BMC Brighton Registered Nurses provide nursing care that has as its ultimate concern supporting the total person and promoting adaptation of the individual. This is accomplished by counseling, teaching, and collaboration/consultation with other health care professionals. The Staff Nurse meets patient needs in accordance with the Nursing Division's philosophy, policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
Implementing and/or directing delivery of nursing care.
Evaluating care delivered.
Practices and promotes nursing care within professional standards.
Practices and promotes nursing care within ethical and legal standards.
Provides patient teaching to patient and/or family.
Orients all level of Nursing division personnel, and nursing students.
Participates in unit-based educational programs.
Takes responsibility for own learning.
Demonstrates effective leadership skills.
Supports and collaborates in the Medical Center Performance Improvement plan with improvement/quality control activities.
Utilizes current research in area of clinical practice.
Complies with patient safety goals as set forth by the Medical Center.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
Two years of experience as a registered nurse in cardiology procedural areas or
Two years of experience as a critical care nurse.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Current licensure in Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse.
BLS Certification Required
Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Meets performance criteria of a Cardiac Cath Lab/EP Lab/PV Staff Nurse.
Able to communicate verbally and in writing in the English language.
Able to complete mathematical computations required to administer medications and treatment protocols.
Able to input information into clinical computer systems (Data Entry).
Compensation Range:
$38.05- $79.47
This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.
