  • RN hourly rate paid up to Grade 2, Year 2 – 9 + 25% casual loading + 12% super

Position Purpose

As part of the Day Surgery Nursing team, this role is responsible for providing quality nursing care for all patients requiring dental care in the Day Surgery Unit (DSU) from pre-admission through to discharge.

Role specific responsibilities

  • Providing quality nursing care for all patients requiring dental care in the Day Surgery Unit.
  • Work across pre-admission through to discharge.
  • Provide clinical support to our Clinicians and Dental Assistants during peri-op procedures including Anesthetics.
  • Participate in medical responses.

About you:

  • Minimum 12-months working experience within an Australian perioperative hospital setting (not including educational placements).
  • Experience managing pediatric and adult patients with complex airways.
  • Knowledge of legal aspects of perioperative practice.
  • Current BLS/ALS qualifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholder levels.
