Build meaningful relationships, make confident clinical decisions, and enjoy the certainty of a Monday to Friday role.
At Homewell, we're committed to helping older Australians live safely, independently and with dignity in their own homes. As part of a growing and values-driven care organisation, we're looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who understands the realities of community aged care and thrives in a role that combines clinical expertise, autonomy, and leadership. Homewell is part of the broader Kinyara Health family, which exists to keep personal, local care alive for ageing Australians and people living with disability.
If you've spent years working shift work, weekends, nights, or dealing with unpredictable rosters, this role offers something many nurses are searching for:
Know your schedule in advance: Enjoy the certainty and work-life balance that comes with a predominantly Monday to Friday position.
No rushing from ward to ward: Build genuine relationships with clients and their families while delivering person-centred care in the community.
Autonomy and professional trust: Use your clinical judgement to assess situations, make decisions, and influence positive outcomes for clients.
Flexible approach to office attendance: Your week will be a blend of client visits, supporting field teams, and administration. We'll work with you to ensure office attendance is practical and aligned to what's happening in your day.
This is a highly autonomous community nursing role supporting clients across Melbourne's north and western suburbs. You'll deliver nursing assessments, develop care plans, monitor client wellbeing, collaborate with healthcare professionals and provide leadership and clinical support to our care workforce. The role includes professional nursing care, clinical oversight, staff support and ensuring care aligns with relevant professional standards and legislative requirements.
A key part of your success will be supporting and enabling our growing field workforce. You'll provide clinical guidance, coaching and education to care teams, helping them deliver safe and high-quality care while building capability across the organisation. The role includes leadership, supervision and clinical support of staff and providing guidance to client care teams.
We're seeking someone who has:
Our clients are spread across a significant geographic area throughout Melbourne's north and western suburbs, so you'll need to be comfortable spending time on the road and travelling between client homes.
You'll enjoy variety every day, but success in this role requires someone who is organised, adaptable and genuinely enjoys working within a community-based model of care rather than a single-site environment.
We're looking for nurses who align with our values of Kindness, Curiosity and Ownership and who are committed to delivering exceptional care to older Australians in the communities we serve.
If you're an experienced community or aged care Registered Nurse looking for greater work-life balance, the ability to plan your week ahead, and the opportunity to influence both client outcomes and workforce capability, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today and help us deliver exceptional care where it matters most in people's homes.
