Summary: To work as a nurse at Sunshine, you must have a strong interest in providing nursing care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities that supports our mission: to create community among people with developmental disabilities, their families, friends, and staff

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality nursing care and administer medications/IV therapies.
  • Assess health needs and update care plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Make appropriate emergency and non-emergency clinical decisions.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, medication records, and incident reports.
  • Monitor compliance with nursing, Medicaid, and agency regulations.
  • Conduct chart audits, assessments, and required nursing tasks.
  • Train, mentor, and support nurses and other staff.
  • Maintain medications, equipment, and nursing supplies.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure continuity of care across shifts and locations.
  • Assist with daily nursing workflow and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain professional licensure and complete required training.
  • Represent Sunshine professionally within the community and healthcare organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio
  • Valid Driver’s License, good driving record and proof of auto insurance
  • Pass criminal background, drug screen, physical & PT assessment
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • 18 years or older
