We are currently seeking Registered Nurse. This means, we need your creativity, flexibility, collaboration, and passion to help develop and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
As part of an interdisciplinary team the Registered Nurse provides direct health care services to patients presenting with a wide variety of complex addictions and mental health issues. The nurse performs physical, addiction, and mental status assessments; refers patients to the physician for further examination; and administers prescribed treatments and medications. The nurse also observes, monitors, evaluates, and documents patient progress, symptoms, and behavioral changes, and performs a variety of health care interventions. The nurse is expected to provide counselling, education, and support to individual patients as well as in a group therapy environment using a motivational and health promotion approach. The nurse works collaboratively with other members of the interdisciplinary team, the patient, families, and the community.
