The Registered Nurse requires substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences in the application of the nursing process in the respective departments in which assigned. The RN must collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; provide physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members and students.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One (1) to three (3) years of experience preferred.
• Performs initial assessment to include physical examination of OB patients, recognizes abnormal signs and symptoms, and takes action as indicated.
• Performs special OB procedures as required.
• Sets up, operates, and cleans OB equipment.
• Provides routine postpartum care, including ongoing assessment.
• Registered Nurse required.
• BLS certification required.
• Completion of Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course (AWHONN) within six (6) months of hire required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• De-Escalation Training required within six (6) months of hire.
