To excel in the role of RN at Minden Medical Center, candidates must possess a current RN licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing. While one year of experience in Nursery/NICU/L&D is preferred, those with a strong passion for maternal and infant care are encouraged to apply. Candidates should hold certifications in Fetal Heart Monitoring (preferred), CPR (required), and obtain NRP certification within 8 weeks of hire. Additionally, all RN staff will receive training to float between the labor unit, post-partum/GYN floor, and the nursery. Minden Medical Center planted its roots in 1926, as a four-story building with only an x-ray department, one operating room, a room for tonsillectomies and adenoidectomies, one delivery room, 80 hospital beds and a strong commitment to quality healthcare.
