We are currently looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Berwick team on a casual basis.

In this role, you will work alongside a caring and experienced multidisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based oncology care while providing personalised, patient focused support.

While oncology experience is valued, it is not essential. We are searching for someone who is kind, motivated to learn, dependable, and confident in communicating with patients and their families. You will be supported every step of the way by a welcoming team as you build your skills and experience.

More specifically, you will:

• Provide high quality, compassionate nursing care that supports both the physical and emotional wellbeing of our patients
• Deliver hands on patient care including education, wound management, and medication administration in line with clinical guidelines
• Manage daily patient workflows to ensure safe, efficient, and timely care
• Collaborate closely with Radiation Oncologists, Radiation Therapists and the Patient Services teams to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient interactions and follow up requirements
• Adhere to clinical procedures, protocols, and guidelines aligned with best practice radiation oncology standards
• Follow medication safety and management protocols
• Use ISBAR communication methods for effective patient handover and coordination with allied health professionals
• Demonstrate reliability, adaptability, motivation, and a strong team focused approach

We're interested in hearing from people who:

• Hold current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Bring at least 2 years of post-graduate nursing experience (preferred)
• Have Oncology experience (valued but not essential as training will be provided)
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion
• Show strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Are committed to best practice care, continuous improvement, and NSQHS standards
• Value ongoing professional development and learning
• Have experience in wound care management
