Job Description

You trained to make a real difference. Are you actually getting the chance to?

In a busy acute setting, it is easy to feel like you are moving patients through a system rather than caring for people. Aged care is different, and BaptistCare is different again.

At Heritage Manor in Morwell, you will know your residents by name, build genuine relationships, and have the time and support to deliver care the way it should be done. We are looking for up to two part-time Registered Nurses to cover our vacant hours, though we would love to find one exceptional person who can take on the full load. If you are looking for a role where your clinical skills and your values are equally valued, this is it.

WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT

  • $43.58 to $55.31 per hour plus NFP salary packaging up to $18,550 per year, one of the most competitive take-home packages in the sector.
  • Approximately 50 hours per fortnight, with shift arrangements discussed directly with the site manager following a successful interview.
  • A care team that backs you. Strong values, a supportive environment, and real clinical leadership opportunities.
  • Ongoing training and professional development. Your growth matters here.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP), wellbeing support when you need it.

THE ROLE

As a Registered Nurse at BaptistCare Heritage Manor in Morwell, you will provide safe, high-quality, person-centred clinical care while leading and supporting the care team around you. This is a role with real clinical responsibility and real human connection.

  • Deliver safe, high-quality clinical care that keeps residents' health, wellbeing, and dignity at the centre
  • Lead and support care staff, ensuring practice is within scope and standards are upheld
  • Develop and contribute to appropriate care plans, managing behaviours and addressing resident issues
  • Maintain clear, respectful communication with residents, families, and colleagues while upholding individual privacy and dignity
  • Ensure safe and compliant medication management
  • Contribute actively to continuous improvement and clinical governance
  • Maintain your own professional development and currency within your scope of practice

ABOUT YOU

You do not need a long history in aged care to thrive here. You need solid clinical foundations, a person-centred mindset, and a genuine desire to make a difference to the lives of older people.

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (no conditions or undertakings). Internationally qualified nurses are welcome to apply
  • Experience in aged care or with elderly people (highly regarded but not essential)
  • Confident clinical leadership. Comfortable guiding a care team and holding the standard
  • A heartfelt desire to work with older people and the ability to connect with residents from diverse backgrounds
  • Strong communicator, clear, respectful, and consistent with residents, families, and staff
  • Ability to manage time, respond to the unexpected, and lead by positive example
  • National Police Check (or willingness to obtain), renewed every three years
  • Relevant worker screening as required (Working with Children Check where applicable)
  • Proof of working rights in Australia
