The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality clinical care, patient assessment, medication administration, and health support within a fast-paced healthcare/pharmacy environment. The ideal candidate must be compassionate, detail-oriented, clinically sound, and capable of delivering safe and ethical patient care. The Nurse will work closely with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare personnel to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history.
Identify patient needs and escalate abnormalities to physicians or management.
Monitor patients progress and update medical charts accordingly.
Administer prescribed medications and injections safely and accurately.
Assist in wound care, dressing changes, IV therapy, and other nursing procedures.
Manage outpatient and in-house patient care as required.
Support physicians during treatments, examinations, and minor procedures.
Counsel patients and caregivers on medication use, follow-up routines, and health maintenance.
Provide emotional support and promote patient-centered care.
Educate patients on preventive health and lifestyle improvement.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with regulatory standards.
Prepare clinical reports, incident documentation, and daily nursing logs.
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all healthcare regulations.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and infection prevention protocols.
Ensure proper sterilization and safe handling of medical equipment.
Report unusual symptoms, incidents, or medical emergencies promptly.
Adhere strictly to Nigeria Nursing & Midwifery Council standards.
Work collaboratively with doctors, pharmacists, lab technicians, and administrative staff.
Support smooth patient flow and clinic operations.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and quality improvement activities.
Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Nurse/Midwife (RNM) certification.
Must hold a valid practicing license (NMCN).
HND, OND, or B.Sc. in Nursing.
2 - 4 years of proven nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, or pharmacy setting.
Excellent clinical judgment, empathy, and multitasking abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
Proficiency in basic computer use and electronic medical records is an advantage.
