Job Duties:
Provides initial assessment and ongoing reassessment of patient including, but not limited to biophysical, psycho-social, environmental, self-care, education and discharge planning factors.
Provides direct patient care in accordance with the scope of practice for a Registered Nurse.
Communicates and coordinates patient care with Charge Nurse, oncoming nurse and other interdisciplinary team members.
Implements patient care, treatments and provides medications at appropriate intervals as prescribed by doctor's order.
Participates in staff development in-services based upon assessed learning needs.
Participates in unit meetings, quality improvement activities and orientation of new RN or subordinate staff members. Accepts delegated Charge Nurse duties.
Attends Educational In-Services, Mandatory Training and Annual Review as required by hospital policy and procedure or deemed necessary by supervisor.
All other duties as assigned including ensuring departmental coverage.

Career Progression: As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as a RN 1 to RN 2 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).
Work Hours: The shift will be determined by the Department Manager.
Compensation: This position receives additional pay for every hour worked as follows:
Special Entrance Rates (SER):
RN2 $27/hour
