We are recruiting for Part time or Full time positions as a Registered Midwife to join our Postnatal and Birth Suite Unit/s in East Melbourne

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Providing expert midwifery care to postnatal mothers and newborns, including advice on feeding, baby care, and maternal recovery.
  • Monitoring and assessing the health and wellbeing of both mother and baby, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Ensuring a seamless, patient-centered experience through collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
  • Role-modeling empathy, compassion, and professionalism in your interactions with patients and families.
  • Continuously enhancing your skills by participating in ongoing education and staying current with best practices in maternity care.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • AHPRA Registration as a midwife (essential).
  • Previous experience in a Birth Suite and/or Postnatal ward.
  • A strong understanding of contemporary maternity and newborn care practices.
  • A passion for providing exceptional, empathetic care to women and their families

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

With a passionate, highly skilled and committed staff campus wide of over 5,000, we provide a full range of clinical services, tertiary care and health promotion and prevention programs for children and young people.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.

When it comes to training and research we partner with the very best. Our campus partners, the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute (MCRI) and The University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics, along with the RCH Foundation, are on site with the hospital in Parkville.
