Registered Manager – Domiciliary Care

Location: North West England

Salary: Circa £40,000 DOE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to lead an established and well-performing domiciliary care service in the North West.

The service is already delivering 1,000+ hours of care per week, with a stable and experienced team in place. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong people-focused leader to step into an established operation, maintain high standards, support the existing team, and drive further growth.

The role would suit a hands-on Registered Manager who enjoys being site-based and actively involved in the day-to-day running of a busy domiciliary care service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy domiciliary care service
• Lead, support, and develop an established team of coordinators and care staff
• Ensure continued compliance with CQC regulations and quality standards
• Maintain and improve service delivery across 1,000+ weekly care hours
• Drive performance, staff engagement, retention, and development
• Monitor care quality, audits, safeguarding, and service user outcomes
• Manage staffing levels, rotas, and effective care delivery
• Build strong relationships with service users, families, commissioners, and key stakeholders
• Identify opportunities to improve service performance and support sustainable growth
• Provide visible, hands-on leadership across the service

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager within domiciliary care
• Strong understanding of CQC standards and regulatory requirements
• Experience managing high-volume care services
• Proven leadership and team management experience
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively in a site-based environment
• Experience managing care hours, staffing, and operational performance
• Level 5 in Health & Social Care or working towards
