Job Description

Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home 🏑

Location: πŸ“ Sunderland

Salary: πŸ’· Β£48,600 – Β£57,712.50 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

Working Hours / Shift Pattern: ⏰ 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Flexibility is required to work weekends, bank holidays and sleepovers when needed.

Employment Type: Permanent

Sleep-ins: πŸŒ™ Sleep-ins may be required and are paid at Β£75 per sleep-in

Service: Children's Residential Home

Service Users: Children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and complex health needs.

Qualifications Required:

  • Level 3 or Level 4 in Residential Childcare (essential)

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards)

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience working with children and young people within a residential children's home.

  • Strong leadership, organisational and administrative skills.

Our client is recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead a 4-bed children's residential home in Sunderland. The home provides a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children and young people, focusing on achieving positive outcomes through high-quality care and strong partnership working.

Number of beds:

4-bed children's home.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Manager who is committed to delivering outstanding care and leading a successful residential service.

You will have:

  • A full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and willingness to obtain business insurance.

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to adapt communication for different audiences.

  • Emotional intelligence, empathy and the ability to confidently manage challenging situations.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
