Location: Gateshead, Tyne and Wear (purpose-built home in a parkland setting, close to Gateshead Town Centre and a Metro station)
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 per annum (including bonus)
Service: Children’s Home
Service Users: Children and young people aged 8–18 (all genders), Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
The Home:
Number of beds: 6 (maximum Ofsted registration)
Ofsted rating: Good
Accommodation: 5 en-suite bedrooms plus 1 annex (used to support independence and transition planning)
Facilities & setting: New, purpose-built service with large bedrooms, spacious communal areas, outdoor playing area, and an attached individual apartment to support transition to independence. Set on a two-acre parkland site with good access to local amenities (shops, leisure facilities, GP, dental surgery) and transport links.
Who we are looking for:
Our client is seeking an experienced and values-led Registered Manager to lead a medium-dependency children’s home supporting young people with EBD. You will be committed to delivering high-quality, long-term care and to creating a safe, positive, person-centred environment where children can thrive.
You will lead and develop a highly trained team delivering therapeutic interventions based on the PACE model, supported by a Consultant Psychologist, and work closely with a multi-disciplinary network to ensure each child receives the right support at the right time.
Who you will be working for:
You’ll be joining our client’s established management team, bringing 20+ years’ experience and a strong track record in community-based residential care for young people with complex behaviours. The service works in partnership with children, families, carers, local authorities and professionals to provide consistent, multi-disciplinary, person-centred planning and support.
