What You’ll Do:
Create balanced meals that are both fun and flavorful—meals kids genuinely enjoy.
• Partner with our chefs to test and perfect tasty, kid-approved recipes
• Keep everything nutrition-compliant, from menus to production records
• Support students with food allergies or special diets, ensuring they feel safe and included
• Be our go-to nutrition expert during state audits and reviews
• Offer friendly nutrition guidance to students and families
• Create fun, engaging wellness tools and materials for schools
• Champion a food culture that’s all about health, inclusion, and joy

What You Bring to the Table:
• Registered Dietitian (RD) credential and a degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Food Science
• 1–3 years of experience (schools, healthcare, or food service settings a plus!)
• Knowledge of USDA child nutrition programs and school meal standards
• Comfortable using menu planning software (like NutriKids, Genesis, Meal Tracker)
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• A warm, people-first attitude and a passion for making a difference
• Willingness to travel locally to support schools when needed

This role offers a salary range of $60,000-$70,000 annually, based on skills, experience, and location. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

Education and Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, food science, or nutrition.
• Registered Dietician (RD) certified.
Computer Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in menu analysis programs such as such as: Meal Tracker, Simple Serve, Nutri Kids, Genesis.

Other Qualifications and Experience
• 1-3 years’ experience in healthcare/schools/food manufacturing setting.
• Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics preferred.
• Proficient in various state and regulatory nutritional standards under the Dietary Guidelines for Americans for multiply age groups (infants to elderly), the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program under the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act and the USDA.
• Able to handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment. Work well under deadline focused conditions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, passion for results and attention to detail.
• Requires occasional travel using own transportation to client locations within and outside New York to accommodate field requests.
