One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking 1 FTE Registered Dietitian to join our Community Wellness Hubs Team. As an integral member of NorWest Community Health Centres’ interdisciplinary team, providing clinical services to individuals who experience barriers to accessing healthcare. This includes people who are underhoused, living with mental health challenges or diagnoses, experiencing current or past substance use, managing complex health conditions, identifying as 2SLGBTQIA+, newcomers to Canada, and individuals who are uninsured or underinsured.
The Registered Dietitian supports integrated, team-based primary care by focusing on preventing or managing diet-related chronic diseases through individualized nutrition counselling, group education programs, and community-based initiatives. Services are delivered in a culturally safe, client-centred manner that respects diverse traditions, values, and lived experiences. The Dietitian collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, contributes to advocacy and community engagement efforts, and supports program development and evaluation to improve food access, nutrition literacy, and health outcomes, particularly among underserved and vulnerable populations.
The position has a competitive salary, the Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) and an excellent group health benefit package.
The salary range for this position is $72,039 to $83,187 annually. Compensation will commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
