Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Neuropsychiatric Hospital (NPH) at Mid-Wilshire is seeking a Per Diem Dietitian to join the Department of Nutrition. You will provide medical nutrition therapy to inpatients across a range of specialized clinical areas, supporting our mission to deliver exceptional, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessment, documentation, implementation, monitoring, and reassessment of patients' nutrition care plans
  • Conducting nutritional assessments, diet calculations, and provision of medical nutrition therapy
  • Performing patient education, malnutrition screening, and nutrition-focused physical exams (NFPE)
  • Providing ongoing education to patients and/or family members
  • Charting in EPIC and utilizing Computation

This is a part-time, as-needed per diem position; schedule and working hours will vary. Position may convert to career.

Salary Range: $50.72/hr – $59.16/hr

Please note: This role requires flexibility to float across locations during the training period.


Job Qualifications


  • Certification as Registered Dietitian by the Commission of Dietetic Registration.
  • Excellent computer and customer service skills.
  • Strong knowledge in malnutrition diagnosing and NFPE
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
