Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

About the Role Our practice is seeking a passionate, patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team full-time. In this role, you will perform comprehensive preventive, educational, and therapeutic dental hygiene services, delivering exceptional clinical care and helping our patients achieve optimal oral health.

• Pay Rate: $45.00 – $50.00 / hour (Based on experience)
• Bonus Structure: Opportunities for performance and production-based incentives
• Job Type: Full-time, In-Office
• Schedule:
• Monday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Schedule can be customized)

Key Responsibilities

Clinical & Preventative Care

• Perform professional dental prophylaxes, scaling and root planing, fluoride applications, and dental sealants.
• Take digital radiographs, intraoral photos, and record accurate periodontal charting.
• Screen patients for oral cancer, periodontal disease, and other oral pathology.
• Maintain a clean, sterile work environment following proper infection control and OSHA standards.

Patient Education & Communication

• Educate patients on custom home-care routines, nutritional choices, and the link between oral and systemic health.
• Explain recommended hygiene care and restorative treatment plans in clear, patient-friendly terms.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with patients to minimize dental anxiety and support retention.

Key Performance Metrics

• Maintain optimal schedule capacity and appointment efficiency.
• Deliver high rates of hygiene recall and patient retention.
• Provide accurate clinical documentation and thorough treatment notes.

Requirements & Qualifications

Required:

• Active State Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license.
• Current CPR / BLS certification.
• Local Anesthesia & Nitrous Oxide certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong clinical skills and commitment to patient comfort.

Preferred:

• 1+ years of clinical experience in a general or specialty dental practice (New grads welcome to apply).
• Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software (e.g., Open Dental, Dentrix, or Eaglesoft).
• Knowledge of laser hygiene therapy or clear aligner maintenance.
