Weiss Dental Arts in Skokie is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join the team. Our modern Skokie dental office is committed to providing exceptional patient care through advanced technology and a warm, patient-focused approach. Led by Dr. Brad Weiss and Dr. Deborah Barker, our team uses state-of-the-art equipment, including CEREC same-day crown technology and an in-house lab to deliver efficient, high-quality dentistry. By keeping much of our work onsite, we’re able to streamline treatment, improve communication, and provide quicker turnaround times for our patients. We take pride in creating a comfortable environment with amenities designed to help patients feel relaxed and cared for during every visit. Serving patients across the North Shore and Chicago, we are dedicated to accessibility, compassion, and excellence in everything we do.

Schedule for the Dental Hygienist:

  • Monday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

  • Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Thursday: 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Friday: 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM

Responsibilities and Requirements of the Dental Hygienist:

  • Apply sealants, administer anesthetic, and CPR certified

  • Perform comprehensive oral health evaluations, including reviewing patients’ medical and dental histories

  • Clean teeth, removing plaque, tartar, and surface stains

  • Administer fluoride treatments and apply dental sealants as needed

  • Educate patients on effective oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary guidance

  • Take and interpret dental X-rays and intraoral photos

  • Provide periodontal care, including scaling and root planing

  • Screen for oral diseases, including oral cancer, and discuss findings with patients

  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records while ensuring compliance with dental regulations

  • Stay informed on the latest advancements in dental hygiene and incorporate best practices

  • Provide oral hygiene guidance for patients with special needs or chronic conditions

  • Use EagleSoft (or relevant dental software) for documentation, charting, treatment planning, and scheduling

  • Collaborate as a team player with a strong focus on patient-centered care
