Registered Building Inspectors (BSR Class 2A and above) – Yorkshire region

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours)

The Opportunity

We are seeking two Building Control Surveyors to join our growing Building Control team at London Building Control in partnership with Bureau Veritas.

In this role, you’ll carry out inspections, assessments, and approvals in line with current building regulations, ensuring compliance across a variety of residential and commercial projects.

You’ll work closely with clients, contractors, and design teams, offering professional guidance throughout the construction process. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects within a supportive, collaborative environment, with a focus on quality, consistency, and excellent client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of residential and commercial projects (up to 18m), in a small set geographical area
• Review plans and specifications for Building Regulation compliance
• Carry out site inspections at key stages of construction
• Provide clear guidance to clients on achieving compliance
• Issue approvals and final certificates
• Liaise with architects, contractors, local authorities, and fire services
• Maintain accurate records and reports on internal systems
• Support business development and promote Building Control services

About You

Demonstratable experience working within Building Control

Experience working independently on domestic projects

Strong understanding of Building Regulations and construction methods

Strong communication and client-facing skills

Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively

Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• HND / Level 5 qualification (or working towards Degree – Level 6)
• Professional membership (RICS, CABE, CIOB or similar)
• BSR Registered Building Inspector (Class 2A or above)
