The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) provides a safe and effective clinic-based learning environment for children in accordance with the philosophy and mission of Behaven Kids.

Compensation:

  • $20 - $22 per hour after certification

  • Paid training

  • Annual performance reviews

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for direct therapy for children with autism using discrete trials to teach language, play social interaction, and self-help skills.

  • Provides a safe, structured learning environment.

  • Interacts with children in a professional, positive manner.

  • Implements Behaven Kids model of care and curriculum.

  • Implements treatment goals and objectives.

  • Prepares updates and maintains documentation and children’s records.

  • Communicates treatment progress and concerns with parents, staff and supervisor.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least nineteen years of age.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in active environment and lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma (Required).

  • Certified Registered Behavior Technician in good standing with the BACB (Preferred).

  • 3 years experience working with children (Required).

  • Associate degree in early childhood education or related field (Preferred).

  • Experience with children diagnosed with autism or other developmental disabilities (Preferred)

About Behaven Kids

Behaven Kids provides hope and help for young children who are struggling with problem behaviors in child care, school, or at home. We offer practical, research-based solutions to a wide range of behavior issues. Services include a unique Specialized Day Program for children ages 18 months to 8 years, individual and family counseling for all ages, workshops/training, child behavior coaching and award-winning books, including The Sleep Fairy and Mini Methods or Madness. Our goal is to assist and support parents and caregivers so that all children can be happy and successful at home, in school and in the community.

Behaven Kids celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2010. In our first decade, Behaven Kids made a difference in the lives of nearly 1,000 children and families.

Programs are located in Omaha, Elkhorn, and Lincoln, Nebraska.
