
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is a paraprofessional who practices under the close, ongoing supervision of a Teacher and Program Administrator/Principal in behavioral program, classroom and home settings. The Behavior Intervention Program Teacher and/or Program Administrator supervising the RBT is responsible for the work performed by the RBT. The incumbent in this position will support the instruction of social/behavioral skills and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to students. The RBT will collect data, assist with parent training, and directly implement behavior plans. Applicants for this position should meet the requirements for securing the paraprofessional position and be willing to complete the required 40-hour training to complete the requirements for obtaining the RBT certification. Positions will be paid on 210-day RBT/Para-Behavior Program Salary Schedule plus an annual supplement of $3,500.
High School Diploma or GED equivalentMust pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment with a minimum score of 250 within 1 year from Date of Hire
Must be able to obtain Georgia PSC Paraprofessional Certificate within 1 year from Date of Hire;Must complete the RBT certification requirements
