Job Description

NOW HIRING: REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIANS (RBTs)

IMPORTANT: Applicants MUST be actively certified as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). This is a mandatory requirement. Candidates who do not hold a current BACB RBT certification will not be considered for employment.

Beacon is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Registered Behavior Technicians to provide behavioral support services to children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Severe Mental Illness, and high-acuity behavioral needs.

As an RBT, you will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized Behavior Support Plans and help individuals develop communication, social, adaptive living, and behavioral skills that improve their quality of life.

Schedule Options
Candidates may choose one of the following schedules:
Option 1
• Five (5) 8-hour shifts per week
Option 2
• Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week
Scheduling Requirements
• All shifts begin at 12:00 PM
• Must work at least one weekend shift every week

Required Qualifications
Non-Negotiable Requirements
• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the BACB
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Current automobile insurance
• Ability to pass all required background checks
• Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in high-acuity behavioral health environments
• Experience supporting individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or severe behavioral challenges
• Experience implementing behavior intervention plans
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Essential Responsibilities
• Implement individualized Behavior Support Plans under the supervision of a BCBA
• Teach and reinforce communication, social, daily living, and adaptive skills using evidence-based practices
• Collect, document, and report behavioral and skill acquisition data accurately
• Utilize de-escalation techniques and behavior intervention strategies safely and effectively
• Collaborate with BCBAs, clinical staff, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure treatment consistency
• Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements
• Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development
• Follow all company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards
• Support a trauma-informed approach to care
• Assist with assessments, incident reporting, and compliance-related activities as needed

Work Environment
This position may be performed in residential homes, day programs, community settings, or other service locations. Team members may encounter challenging behaviors and must be able to safely implement approved behavior support and de-escalation strategies.

Please note: Active BACB Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification, a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current vehicle insurance are mandatory requirements for this position.
