Being a global benchmark in green lithium refining and helping to achieve the major goals of decarbonising the economy is what drives Lifthium. To achieve this objective, Lifthium relies on the vast experience in the chemical industry of Bondalti, the largest Iberian producer of chlorine and European leader in sales of aniline and nitrobenzene, and the support of the José de Mello Group, one of Portugal's largest business groups.
With this know-how and an experienced team, Lifthium is well placed to supply sustainable, high-quality lithium hydroxide, contributing to the electrification of mobility based on renewable energy sources. At cruising speed, Lifthium is aiming for a production capacity equivalent to the needs of more than 2 million electric vehicles.
The company intends to establish a European lithium hub, enabling shorter, low-carbon logistics chains and reducing Europe's external dependence in this matter.
