He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga | About the role

As a Regional Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in empowering our workforce to deliver high-quality support, directly contributing to our mission of helping people live independently and thrive in their communities. Your role will be:

  • Facilitating support and overseeing Support Worker training in accordance with Access Kaiāwhina Competency training and qualifications.
  • Actively ensuring that the quality outcomes taught through our paid Support Worker induction programme are fit for purpose for our valued clients.
  • Collaborating with Care Coordinator Team Leaders and Support Worker Team Leaders to ensure a competent workforce.
  • Contributing to the design and development of workplace training to meet operational needs and audit requirements.

Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga | Skills and experience

Required:

  • Teaching experience
  • Proven ability to adapt to the diverse learning needs in a culturally appropriate manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Competence with technology and Microsoft Office

Preferred:

  • Qualifications in adult learning (training can be provided)
  • Registered assessor qualification or CareerForce Assessor approval preferred (training can be provided)
  • Experience in the health sector (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in standards-based assessments
  • Able to travel across the Southern region; mileage reimbursement provided.
  • Available for 20 hours per week; occasional evening and weekend work may be required
