The Details:

• Permanent Full Time | 9 day fortnight
• $99,135 pa (ie. $52.59/hour) + 12% super (level 5) - with a 4.5% increase coming 1 July
• 72.5 hour fortnight
• Location: Caboolture

As a Regional Supervisor overseeing allocated Roads and Drains teams, you’ll play a key role in planning, coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of maintenance crews. You’ll lead a team of around 15-20 Labourers and Leading Hands, ensuring smooth workflows, safe practices and efficient service delivery across Council’s sealed roads and bridge assets.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise daily operations, fostering a strong culture of safety, teamwork, development and high‑performance maintenance outcomes
• Manage work programs and resources, overseeing scheduled and reactive maintenance to ensure timely, cost effective outcomes aligned with Council standards
• Develop the skills of your assigned teams, ensuring all team members are undertaking and delivering maintenance operational functions effectively
• Undertake process and scheduled works audits, reviewing accuracy and ensuring compliance of asset inspections and operational outcomes
• Respond to customer requests, providing clear communication, timely updates and practical advice to internal and external stakeholders
• Provide technical guidance across road and bridge maintenance activities, supporting crews and contractors in identifying, troubleshooting and resolving issues
• Oversee procurement and contractor performance, ensuring works are delivered within budget, scope and agreed quality expectations
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including WHS, environmental and heritage requirements, as well as Council policies and safe work procedures
• Support strategic planning, contributing to budget preparation, equipment and resource planning and continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
• Participate in afterhours and emergency response as required by the Operations department

About you

Ideally you’ll bring proven experience in a similar supervisory or operational role, with a solid background in delivering maintenance or construction activities across similar civil infrastructure. Strong leadership capability is essential, particularly in guiding and supporting operational teams.

We’re looking for someone with well developed numeracy skills, clear written and verbal communication, and confidence using technology and a range of software applications.

Safety is one of our core organisational priorities. We’re seeking a person who not only has the knowledge but also demonstrates a genuine commitment to promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture within their team.

Minimum Requirements:

• A current driver licence (minimum C Class)
• A Construction Induction Card
• A Certificate III in Civil Construction or a similar qualification
