Job Description

As a Regional Sourcing Leader at GE Vernova, you will spearhead the Sourcing and Procurement functions for the Power Conversion and Storage (PCS) business in North America. You will be the primary architect of regional supply chain excellence—driving business growth, ensuring project profitability, and accelerating our transition to a sustainable, decarbonized future. You will lead a high-performing team to solve complex electrification challenges through strategic supplier partnerships and operational rigor.

  • Strategic Leadership: Execute regional direct and indirect commodity strategies that align with global mandates while prioritizing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC).
  • Commercial Partnership: Collaborate with Sales and Application Engineering during the bidding phase to provide competitive pricing and lead-time commitments that win new business.
  • Financial Stewardship: Protect project margins by eliminating cost erosion. Oversee material budgets, approve high-threshold orders, and proactively alert Project Management to critical deviations.
  • Operational Excellence: Lead the procurement team in rigorous order management, ensuring all materials and documentation meet contractual quality and on-time delivery standards.
  • Supplier Qualification and Optimization: Partner with Supplier Quality Management (SQM) to qualify, onboard, and audit suppliers. Drive supplier progress plans focused on capacity, logistics, and product optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as a key stakeholder on the leadership team, integrating sourcing activities with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Logistics to streamline execution.
  • Compliance & Risk: Ensure 100% adherence to Group Compliance, customs regulations, and international tariffs while optimizing material and product cost position
  • Performance Analytics: Deliver monthly KPI reports and financial forecasts to Business Leadership, balancing potential losses with strategic savings initiatives.

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Management, Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of leadership in Sourcing & Procurement, ideally within a complex, project-based engineering or energy environment.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing multi-site teams within an international, matrixed organization.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level command of SAP-based ERP systems and a deep understanding of Lean Procurement principles.
  • Soft Skills: A "hands-on" leader with a strategic mindset; an expert negotiator capable of resolving conflicts while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 20 % (including international) to support regional sites and supplier audits.

#LI-Remote - This is a remote positionFor candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $149,400.00 and $248,900.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
