Regional Service Sales Manager - Southeast Region

The Opportunity

In this role, you will play a central part in advancing service solutions that support the performance, reliability, and lifecycle value of electric power infrastructure. As a Regional Service Sales Manager within Hitachi Energy’s Utility & Industrial Sales business, you will work directly with customers across the Central U.S. region to promote and deliver services for installed substation and power system equipment. Your work will focus on expanding service agreements, identifying upgrade and retrofit opportunities, and helping customers maintain and optimize critical grid assets such as transformers, switchgear, and circuit breakers.

You will manage a blend of strategic account development and team leadership, guide a service sales team while also engage directly with customers to identify needs and deliver tailored service offerings. By aligning service solutions with real-world operational challenges, you will contribute to improved system reliability, safety, and long-term asset performance. This role also offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with technical experts, leverage data-driven tools, and support the growth of modern service models across the evolving energy landscape. Your efforts will directly support customers in maintaining resilient and efficient power systems while helping expand Hitachi Energy’s service footprint.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Drive service sales performance by meeting or exceeding regional sales order targets and executing sales capture strategies.
  • Lead and support a regional service sales team, focusing on performance, engagement, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement account plans to grow service agreements and expand long-term customer relationships.
  • Identify opportunities within installed base equipment, promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value-added service solutions.
  • Conduct customer visits, facility walk-throughs, and sales calls to uncover service needs and generate new opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver service proposals, tenders, and offerings in coordination with internal teams and external partners.
  • Utilize tools such as Salesforce, PowerBI, and the ServIS database to manage pipelines, track opportunities, and maintain accurate data.
  • Represent service solutions at industry events, customer meetings, and marketing activities, translating customer needs into practical offerings.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in sales, sales support, and/or service of power systems/solutions; OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience; OR Associate degree with 10+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience working with electric substation equipment such as transformers, switchgear, or circuit breakers.
  • Background in technical sales or customer-facing roles presenting power system solutions.
  • Experience leading or supporting a service sales team.
  • Familiarity with substation operations and maintenance practices or construction.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to support customer engagement and regional coverage.
