The Service Engineer is responsible for performing repair and maintenance activities within the Aftermarket function. This role carries technical accountability and takes responsibility for on-site and remote service activities, contributing directly to equipment reliability, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This role will support our Channel partner’s aftermarket team and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction within the SE Asia region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repair vehicles and various equipment in an accurate and timely manner
  • Understand the electrical and hydraulic schematics to be able to complete the repairs correctly and safely
  • Actively seeking ways to retain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Carry out machine inspection
  • Conduct machine familiarization and service training
  • Prepare clear, accurate and timely service reports, including documentation for warranty claims
  • Register and document identified product quality issues in thee relevant systems for follow-up and continuous improvement
  • Provide service quotation for repair, maintenance, calibration and cost estimates for out-of-warranty units to achieve profitable revenue
  • Supervises and ensures all faults are resolved promptly and that preventative maintenance is delivered to customer
  • Communicate relevant technical, commercial and operational feedback to internal stakeholders including Sales, Aftermarket and Operational team and share identified sales or service leads
  • Demonstrate proficient and safe use of service tools, equipment and diagnostic instruments
  • Travel overseas for training & service as workload requires
  • Act in accordance with JLG’s core values, taking ownership of personal actions and ensuring safety and well-being of colleagues, partners and customers
  • Perform other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical school or its equivalent.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant industry related certifications.
  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing.
  • Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
