The Role

The Regional Sales Vice President (RSVP), Employee Benefits – Western Region leads a geographically aligned, multi-product sales organization responsible for driving profitable growth across Life, Absence & Disability (LAD)and Voluntary Benefits.This role supports the Western Region and executes an integrated go-to-market strategy that increases new business, strengthens retention, and enhances customer value. The RSVP plays a key role in advancing enterprise integration initiatives, strengthening broker and consultant relationships, and cultivating a collaborative, performance-driven sales culture.

WhatYou’llDo

• Lead and execute a regional sales strategy aligned to enterprise growth objectives

• Drive performance across new business production, retention, and profitability

• Lead, coach, and develop sales leaders and geographically dispersed field teams

• Unify LAD and Voluntary Benefits sales execution into a cohesive market approach

• Build and sustain strong relationships with brokers, consultants, and distribution partners across the Western Region

• Partner cross-functionally with underwriting, product, marketing, enrollment, and client management teams

• Advance talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness

• Support enterprise initiatives such as national accounts growth, voluntary benefits expansion, and digital enablement

WhatYou’llBring – Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field

• 10+ years of experience in the employee benefits industry

• 5+years of senior sales leadership experience and/ordemonstratedcompetency to lead and manage multi-level teams

Demonstratedstrength and credibility in broker and consultant relationships within the Western Region

• Deep knowledge of key Western Region markets and competitive dynamics

• Proven success driving growth across group and/or voluntary benefits

• Experience leading through organizational change or integration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading integrated LAD and Voluntary Benefits sales organizations

• National accounts or complex distribution experience

• Advanced industry designations (e.g., CLU, CEBS, RHU)

Licensure

Life and Health license (or ability to obtain).

Location & Travel

This role supports the Western Region and requires the successful candidate to belocatedwithin the territory orin close proximity toenable frequent travel into the region. Regular travel isrequired(approximately 40–60%) aligned to regional and national business needs.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

  • Performance guarantees may be applied to roles with highly incentivized compensation plans for a specified period of time to support a new hire’s transition into the sales incentive plan.

Compensation is made up of a base salary, incentives, and/or other bonuses when applicable. This is a minimum range that can be increased based on performance and sales activity.

Salary Range:

Base $180,000+ DOE, Guarantee+Incentive
