Job Description

Position Summary

Reporting to the designated Sales leader, the Regional Manager, Sales & Operations is accountable for the overall performance of the Manitoba and Saskatchewan market. This role leads commercial growth, customer development and sales performance while ensuring the operational capacity, inventory, service, safety and people performance required to deliver results. Success requires demonstrated strength in both sales and operations, with the ability to balance growth, customer commitments, operational capacity and profitability.

KEY OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Regional Business & Sales Leadership

• Own the regional business plan and performance across revenue, profitability, market share and customer experience.
• Develop and execute regional sales strategies, territory plans, forecasts and growth initiatives for Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
• Lead new business development and key account relationships, identifying opportunities to expand product penetration and market share.
• Coach and hold the regional sales team accountable for targets, pipeline development and customer performance.

Operational & Customer Experience Leadership

• Ensure branch operations, inventory, labour, logistics and service capacity are aligned with sales demand and customer commitments.
• Establish accountability for inventory performance, order fulfillment, delivery, productivity and service levels.
• Use sales and operational forecasts to identify capacity or service risks and take action before customer performance is affected.
• Lead resolution of significant customer or operational issues, ensuring root causes and corrective actions are addressed.
• Ensure strong health and safety performance across the region.

People, Performance & Continuous Improvement

• Lead and develop sales and operational teams, setting clear expectations and accountability while empowering branch leaders to manage day-to-day execution.
• Use commercial, financial and operational KPIs to manage performance, identify gaps and drive corrective action.
• Drive consistent processes and continuous improvement across locations to improve service, productivity and cost.
• Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Customer Service and other teams to deliver regional objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive sales and/or operations experience, including at least 3 years in a people-leader role.
• Demonstrated leadership experience across both commercial and operational functions, preferably within a regional or multi-site environment.
• Proven track record of driving sales growth, customer development, and operational performance, including territory planning, forecasting, and performance management.
• Strong business and financial acumen with working knowledge of inventory management, warehousing, logistics, labour planning, and customer service operations.
• Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Service, with knowledge of health and safety and compliance standards.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan.
