We are seeking a high-caliber, strategic leader to serve as the Regional Sales Manager for West India. This role is accountable for leading the regional sales execution strategy, driving organic growth, and maximizing project win rates across the territory. Based in Mumbai, you will be responsible for strengthening distributor performance and project channels while ensuring the achievement of market share expansion and profitability targets. As a key member of the country leadership team, you will ensure that all regional activities are in perfect alignment with the V&B BW country sales vision, bridging the gap between global strategy and local execution.

Key Responsibilities

1 Regional Sales Leadership & Execution

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Project Sales Representatives and Business Development managers across West India to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive regional sales plan that translates the national vision into actionable territory-specific strategies.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline and forecast accuracy, ensuring the region meets its quarterly and annual revenue, margin, and market share objectives.

2 Organic Growth & Project Win Rates

  • Drive strategies to increase the "Project Win Rate" by ensuring early-stage specification involvement and providing strategic support to the sales team during high-stakes negotiations.
  • Identify and target high-value organic growth opportunities within the residential, commercial, and hospitality sectors.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches to maximize regional uptake.

3 Distributor & Channel Management

  • Strengthen the performance of existing distributors and channel partners in the West region; conduct regular business reviews to ensure alignment with brand standards, inventory management, and sales growth.
  • Identify gaps in the current channel network and lead the onboarding of new, high-potential channel partners to expand market coverage.
  • Ensure channel partners are equipped with the necessary technical training, marketing collateral, and sales tools to effectively represent the brand.

4. Stakeholder & Architect Engagement

  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including top-tier architects, interior designers, builders, and developers (A&D community) to secure brand specifications.
  • Represent the company at high-level industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and influence decision-makers.
  • Act as the escalation point for critical project issues, ensuring smooth coordination between the sales team, and project execution teams.

5 Profitability & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor regional P&L, ensuring that sales activities are aligned with profitability targets (pricing discipline, discount management, and cost control).
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to provide strategic feedback to the national leadership team.
  • Ensure the team maintains accurate CRM data, providing insights on project pipelines, market share trends, and future buying patterns.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA or a degree in Architecture/Interior Design is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience in Project Sales, Specification Sales, or Channel Management in sanitaryware / bath fittings / building materials industry.
  • Leadership: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a formal people management or regional leadership role, with a proven track record of building, mentoring, and motivating high-performing sales teams.
  • Network: Possesses a strong existing network of architects, interior designers, channel distributors, and key real estate developers across the West India market (Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, etc.).
  • Strategic Acumen: Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans that balance short-term revenue goals with long-term market share expansion.
  • Skills:
    • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L.
    • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with regional stakeholders
    • Willingness to travel extensively across the West India region.
