Job Description
Regional Sales Manager, South Korea
Seoul based | Individual contributor, quota carrying | Reports into APAC sales leadership
About VAST Data
VAST Data is rebuilding the data infrastructure layer that AI runs on. The VAST AI Operating System collapses storage, database and compute services into a single platform, and it sits underneath some of the largest AI deployments in the world. We are one of the fastest growing infrastructure companies in the industry, and Korea is now a market we are actively expanding in.
The opportunity
We have an established team in Korea, live customers and a working partner ecosystem. This role is added headcount to extend that coverage, brought in because demand in market is outpacing what the current team can service.
That means you would be joining something with momentum behind it. There are reference customers to sell against, partners already engaged, pre-sales support in region, and a team who can tell you exactly how deals get done here. Territory and account split would be agreed with the existing team so the patch is clean from day one.
What you will do
- Carry an individual quota against an agreed set of accounts and territory
- Build and execute account strategy across enterprise, semiconductor, platform, telco and public research accounts
- Run complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from first meeting to close, typically involving infrastructure, AI platform and procurement teams alongside the economic buyer
- Work through the established partner and reseller ecosystem, and alongside the NVIDIA alliance in market
- Partner closely with in-region pre-sales rather than handing off the technical conversation
- Contribute to the wider Korea team, sharing intelligence and supporting colleagues on accounts where you have relationships
- Forecast accurately and keep the CRM in a state the business can rely on
What we are looking for
- A track record of enterprise infrastructure or data platform sales in Korea, with results you can evidence
- Background in storage, data infrastructure, AI compute, databases or an adjacent technical platform
- Experience selling into large Korean enterprise, semiconductor, telco or platform accounts, and an existing network in at least some of them
- Credibility with technical buyers as well as the economic buyer
- Someone who works well inside a team rather than needing to own the whole market alone
- Experience selling through and with channel partners
- Native Korean and working English, since the wider team sits across APAC, the USA
Useful but not essential
- Exposure to GPU, HPC or AI infrastructure buying cycles
- Experience at a company in a high growth or pre-IPO phase
- Existing relationships within the NVIDIA partner ecosystem in Korea
