The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing a significant portion of the sales operations within the rice distribution business. This role represents one of the largest regional sales responsibilities in Senegal and will play a critical role in driving the profitability of the global rice distribution business.
Sales : Identify and open up new markets, winning business from new customers and increasing market share from existing customers. Build leadership position in the rice, through effective sales & distribution and market segmentation. Expand footprint to cover all parts of the defined region in Senegal
Category Insight/ Business Performance: Understanding inherent product characteristics, ensuring delivery of quality products and value added services to meet customer expectations. Developing market insights, building real time knowledge on key stakeholders through networking with customers, suppliers, competitors, government authorities etc. for business benefit and growth
Sales & Channel Operations: Demonstrate ability to formulate and deploy sales strategies, develop strong channel relations and drive channel effectiveness through customised trade schemes. Builds appropriate sales capabilities ensuring excellence in sales execution and receivables management
Marketing Operations: Demonstrate proficiency in conducting market research and displays ability to effectively implement agreed marketing and communication activities, while contributing inputs in designing effective communication and promotion strategies.
Operations: Ensure high motivational levels in the team and get the team aligned with the overall strategy that we follow in-country. Ensure that all the direct and indirect costs for the business are within budgets.Counterparty & Credit Risk Management
