Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve institutional business targets across the assigned region.
  • Manage and expand key institutional accounts including government hospitals, private hospitals, and corporate healthcare institutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government authorities and regulatory bodies.
  • Liaise with government authorities for tender participation, approvals, and smooth execution of institutional contracts.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within institutional segments.
  • Lead, mentor, and monitor the performance of the institutional sales team.
  • Ensure timely submission and follow-up of tenders, contracts, and rate agreements.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and provide actionable business insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial Excellence for seamless execution.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and ethical business practices.
  • Prepare and present periodic sales reports, business forecasts, and performance reviews.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales with strong exposure to institutional business.
  • Proven experience in handling government tenders and institutional accounts.
  • Strong understanding of regional healthcare systems and institutional frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large territories and consistently achieve business targets.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and people development skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
