Job Description

Selux is seeking a highly motivated and successful Regional Sales Manager for our Eastern Region to be responsible for driving sales growth, managing key customer relationships, and increasing market share across the region.

Salary range $120,000 - $160,000 plus commission

Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and execute the regional sales strategy to meet or exceed sales targets and company objectives for the assigned territory.
  • Identify and prioritize key accounts and sales opportunities to expand market share in the region.
  • Conduct frequent sales presentations.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align strategies and messaging for the region. Working closely with agents to drive sales growth.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with specifiers, agents, key customers, architects, designers, lighting consultants, and electrical contractors.
  • Provide expert guidance on product selection and applications to meet customer needs and specifications.
  • Deliver tailored solutions to customers through high-quality consultations and presentations. Interface with other RSMs for out of territory projects.

Sales Performance & Reporting:

  • Regularly analyze sales data and regional performance to ensure targets are met.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and market analysis to senior management.
  • Monitor competitors and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and product positioning.

Team Collaboration & Leadership:

  • Work closely with the Selux team, including quotes, inside sales, product and project management, technical support, marketing, engineering and manufacturing, to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Participate in training and professional development programs for team members and partners in the region.

Product Knowledge & Promotion:

  • Stay current on Selux product offerings and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Conduct product training sessions for key stakeholders, partners, and customers.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to represent Selux and grow brand visibility in the region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the lighting, architecture, or construction industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing sales territory and achieving revenue goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of the East Coast market and building industry.
  • Strong relationships within the architectural, design, and contractor community.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with architectural lighting solutions and smart building technologies.
  • Existing relationships with design firms, contractors, and distributors in the region.

Knowledge of lighting codes, standards, and energy efficiency regulations
