This role serves as the primary field-based representative for Emerson business units and contracted customers, partnering closely with regional leadership, merchandising teams, and store operations within The Home Depot.

Success in this role requires building strong customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, supporting merchandising and promotional initiatives, and ensuring consistent execution of national and regional sales strategies. The Regional Sales Manager will act as a key liaison between customers and Emerson stakeholders, providing market insights and helping deliver business objectives related to sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Drive regional sales growth through promotional programs, merchandising initiatives, customer engagement strategies, and approved sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with regional and local customer leadership, ensuring products, programs, and solutions remain highly visible and effectively represented.
  • Collaborate with business units to support customer initiatives, merchandising projects, store refresh/new store activities, planogram implementation, innovation center support, and other strategic assignments.
  • Meet regularly with regional customer decision-makers to identify growth opportunities and strengthen business relationships.
  • Utilize customer and business analytics tools to monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend actions that improve results.
  • Partner with field merchandising and operations teams to address execution challenges, improve performance, and resolve store-level issues.
  • Conduct regular field visits(on average 4 days/week) to verify program implementation, gather customer feedback, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Support and deliver training for customer teams, merchandising partners, and internal stakeholders when needed.
  • Focus on key stores and new store locations to maximize program adoption, product placement opportunities, and incremental sales growth.
  • Represent Emerson at customer meetings, regional training events, contractor events, industry shows, and other business development activities.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence, including competitive activities, pricing trends, merchandising opportunities, and customer insights.
  • Support account management activities for assigned regional customers and related business partners.

Who You Are:

You build strong formal and informal networks and work collaboratively across teams to achieve shared goals. You seek opportunities to deliver value by understanding customer needs and translating insights into action. You analyze complex information, identify patterns, and provide solutions to stakeholders that support business success. You consistently drive results by remaining focused on priorities, adapting to changing circumstances, and following through on commitments. You adjust communication to fit the audience and the message.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the assigned region.
  • Experience building customer relationships and supporting sales growth in a retail, merchandising, consumer products, or related environment.
  • Experience working with large retail customers, field merchandising teams, or customer-facing sales organizations.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret business data and use insights to make recommendations and drive action.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management capabilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout the region, including overnight travel as business needs require.
  • Ability to lift and move product displays or materials, climb ladders, and perform light merchandising activities when needed.
  • Ability to work safely in retail, warehouse, and light construction environments.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting The Home Depot or a similar large retail organization.
  • Experience with retail merchandising, planogram management, store operations, or field execution programs.
  • Familiarity with customer analytics platforms, supplier portals, and performance reporting tools.
  • Knowledge of consumer products, tools, home improvement, or related industries.
  • Experience conducting product training, customer education, or field support initiatives.
