Regional Sales Manager – Wastewater Solutions

Eastern U.S. Territory | Direct Hire | $80,000–$115,000 + Commission & Bonus (OTE 175k+)

Konik is partnering with a technology-driven environmental solutions provider to add a Regional Sales Manager to their team. This role focuses on driving growth across a multi-state territory through a network of manufacturer representatives, selling specialized wastewater treatment solutions for municipal and industrial applications.

This is a high-impact, travel-heavy role ideal for someone who thrives in long sales cycles, technical selling environments, and relationship-driven business development

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth across a multi-state territory through an established network of manufacturer representatives
  • Manage, coach, and hold accountable a group of independent reps to improve performance and market penetration
  • Develop new business through direct outreach, relationship building, and technical sales engagement
  • Present technical solutions to engineers, municipalities, and industrial clients
  • Attend and represent the company at industry conferences and trade shows (10–15 annually)
  • Collaborate with engineering and internal teams to develop proposals and tailored solutions
  • Forecast territory performance and provide market insights to leadership
  • Build long-term relationships with clients, consultants, and industry stakeholders
  • Manage extended sales cycles ranging from months to multiple years

Qualifications

  • 4–5+ years of experience in technical sales, ideally within wastewater, water treatment, or environmental solutions
  • Strong understanding of wastewater treatment systems (municipal or industrial experience preferred)
  • Experience working with or managing manufacturer rep networks
  • Proven ability to generate new business and manage a long, consultative sales cycle
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Ability to travel up to 80% across a regional territory
  • Self-starter with strong time management and territory planning skills

Preferred Experience

  • Direct experience with lagoon-based treatment systems
  • Background in municipal wastewater plants or industrial water systems
  • Experience presenting technical papers or leading industry discussions

Additional Role Details

  • Territory: Eastern U.S. (candidate can be based in the Midwest or East, ideally near a major airport)
  • Approximately 75–80% travel including site visits, trade shows, and client meetings
  • Role includes both rep management (oversight of ~10 reps) and direct business development
  • Long sales cycles with high-value, technical solutions
  • Strong internal support from engineering for proposal development
  • High autonomy role with significant earning potential tied to performance
