This is a full-time, exempt level position.

By combining ADM's capabilities in fermentation, ingredient solutions, renewable materials, and technical expertise, BioSolutions partners with customers to create value and drive growth through differentiated solutions.
The Regional Sales Director will lead a high-performing sales team focused on accelerating growth across two or more strategic non-food market segments, including but not limited to fermentation, plant care, consumer care, and general industrial applications. Segment leadership responsibilities may vary and will be assigned to best support the strategic goals of the BioSolutions business.
This leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing growth strategies, cultivating and strengthening strategic customer and industry relationships, and advancing commercialization and market adoption of ADM's expanding BioSolutions portfolio. The Regional Sales Director will play a critical part in identifying emerging market opportunities, translating customer needs into value-added solutions, and positioning ADM as a trusted innovation partner.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales growth strategies along with segment leadership that expand ADM's presence in targeted BioSolutions markets while delivering sustainable, profitable growth
  • Lead and coach talent to win in existing and new spaces
  • Collaborate closely with our customer facing organization to develop and implement differentiated value propositions for our customers
  • Develop sales team to have a specialty “value-added” solution to national and regional account customers, including but not limited to, effective introduction of new products, technologies, and processes, to strengthen and obtain new business in support of segment growth targets and account plans.
  • Continually draws insights on customer needs and seeks opportunities to translate these into actionable plans and new sales development. Develops and maintains a strong working knowledge of the markets and competitive landscape
  • Serve as a recognized industry leader and trusted advisor leveraging the BioSolutions portfolio to create value for customers and drive market adoption, which includes dextrose, starches, fructose, glucose syrups, glycols and vegetable oils
  • Accountable for contracting activities within the region
  • Manage and enhance sales opportunity pipeline within Salesforce the region
  • Analyze marketing insights to unlock opportunities for future account growth
  • Ultimately responsible for effective management of cost levers and in assisting in the timely collection of account receivables.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Marketing, Business or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ sales and marketing experience, preferably in B2B industry such as, paper & packaging, construction, fermentation, plant health, consumer care or general industrial applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with specific competency in goal setting and managing activities of direct reports
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of Salesforce and Microsoft software including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Travel

  • Overnight travel is required (40% minimum)

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between:

$139,200.00 - $259,200.00

Salaried Incentive Plan

The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus
