Job Description

Come join our team as a Regional Safety Coordinator

The Regional Safety and Tools Coordinator is critical to the organization and management of safety initiatives, tool costs, tool usage, and safety policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·Thoroughly conduct regular jobsite safety audits weekly to ensure adherence of all safety regulations in accordance with company safety policy and OSHA and general contractor requirements.

·Assertively work with corporate safety managers to identify what changes need to be made to current policies and procedures.

·Hold each superintendent accountable to complete safety training requirements.

·Methodically develop site specific safety plans and emergency action plans for multifamily jobs.

·Accurately track all safety training for all regional employees including OSHA 10/30 as well as toolbox talks, and injury safety training as needed.

·Work with Corporate Safety Manager on annual OSHA filings and quickly respond to all OSHA violation abatements.

·Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics.

·Work with regional HR to set up a new employee on-boarding process for safety.

·Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine root causes and preventative measures.

·Oversee workplace repair, installations, and any other work to elevate employees' safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

·2 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role

·Excellent knowledge of legislations and procedures

·Experience with writing policies and procedures for health and safety

·Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics

·Proficient in MS Office

·Outstanding organizational skills

·Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

·Good time-management skills

·Certificate in occupational health and safety (OSHA 30, STSC)

·Clear, effective communications skills – both written and verbal

·Ability to assertively and effectively negotiate and resolve interpersonal issues

·Preference for accuracy, attention to detail, and organization

·Proficient in using basic office equipment

·Mechanical and tool usage and knowledge required
