Regional Program Manager – Project Management

Flowserve is seeking an experienced Regional Program Manager – Project Management to oversee project-management execution, performance improvement, and capability development across regional manufacturing sites.

The role is responsible for high-value, complex, engineered-to-order customer projects for flow-control equipment. Working with factory project managers, site leadership, and cross-functional teams, the Regional Program Manager will improve delivery performance, profitability, risk management, customer experience, and compliance with contractual obligations.

The position reports to the Global Director of Project Management and operates through strong matrix leadership, stakeholder influence, and direct intervention in critical project situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the regional portfolio of complex customer projects from initiation through delivery, customer acceptance, and closeout.
  • Monitor and report project health, safety, schedule, profitability, revenue, gross margin, percentage of completion, cash flow, customer experience, project risks, and key milestones.
  • Support factory project managers with project planning, manufacturing coordination, documentation, customer requirements, and timely delivery against contractual obligations.
  • Identify performance gaps, recommend corrective actions, and support implementation of improvement plans to strengthen project performance.
  • Drive alignment with Flowserve global project-management policies, procedures, work processes, reporting standards, and maturity expectations.
  • Support contract reviews, change management, risk registers, risk-mitigation plans, and escalation of commercial, technical, or execution risks.
  • Support strategic customer engagements, project escalations, and site-level issue resolution when local capability or remote support is insufficient.
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources and subject-matter experts to resolve complex project challenges.
  • Coach and train project managers on contractual conditions, technical specifications, risk management, lessons learned, closeout practices, and standardized execution processes.
  • Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned, standardized processes, lean and flow practices, and scalable solutions across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Present portfolio performance, project progress, risks, and recommended actions to senior and executive management.
  • Travel to manufacturing sites and customer locations as needed for reviews, training, cross-functional issue resolution, and customer support

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in valves, actuators, related industrial equipment, manufacturing, EPC, project management, or department-management roles.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience leading international capital-equipment procurement projects involving engineered-to-order equipment.
  • Knowledge of capital-project execution, EPC projects, or engineered-to-order manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading through influence in a matrix organization and working effectively with stakeholders outside direct reporting relationships.
  • Familiarity with industrial standards including API, ISO, MSS, ASTM, and DIN.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project and PowerPoint, along with document-control and risk-management practices or tools.
  • Strong analytical, commercial, organizational, communication, presentation, prioritization, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%, including occasional short-term international travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, IAPM, or another recognized project-management certification.
  • Experience supporting strategic customer contracts, project escalations, accounts-receivable resolution, disputed invoices, or past-due balances.
  • Additional language capability and experience working across multiple cultures and manufacturing locations.

Core Competencies

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, the ability to establish credibility and influence stakeholders, sound business judgment, effective prioritization, and a results-driven mindset focused on safe execution, customer outcomes, financial performance, standardized processes, and continuous improvement
