Purpose Statement

The role is responsible for continuing to develop and drive the OEM and non‑OEM Competitive Equipment segment within the LC Refining, Screening, and Cleaning business. This position leads strategically driven growth across the refining/screening/cleaning service market, with full accountability for profitability, product strategy, and market expansion.

The role requires deep product and technical expertise, including reverse engineering, service sourcing and development, and parts sourcing. It provides both technical and commercial leadership, supported by ongoing analysis of ANDRITZ’s competitive market position. Success in this role demands an aggressive, innovation‑driven approach to optimization across all aspects of the business.

This position requires at least 75% travel

Key Responsibilities

The role is accountable for the profitability and growth of the competitive equipment product line, including but not limited to:

  • Partner with support staff to ensure efficient execution of service projects and continued development of the customer base
  • Provide direction to the sales organization (equipment and services), including proposal development, product costing, and pricing in collaboration with the Refining/Screening/Cleaning Manager and Site Manager
  • Make strategic decisions related to production and purchasing that impact competitiveness, profitability, and gross margin
  • Develop and manage the annual budget with input from the sales force and Refining/Screening/Cleaning Manager, Site Manager, and Regional Manager
  • Lead strategic planning initiatives with regional and global product teams, including long‑ and short‑term sales objectives and identification of annual sales training needs
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotion strategies, and drive research and development initiatives, including the implementation of new products in partnership with regional and global product teams

Education, Experience & Qualifications

Required / Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including presentation capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to travel to mills and customer sites and participate in service work and system optimization activities as required
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, build new customer relationships, and maintain long‑term partnerships
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and logical thinking skills with the ability to make independent decisions in mechanical problem‑solving environments
  • Highly organized with strong time‑management skills; ability to prioritize, maintain accuracy, and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting
  • Commitment to compliance with company policies, confidentiality, and safety requirements
  • Strong customer‑focused mindset with a sense of urgency and follow‑through

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This position is performed in an office and/or remote home‑office environment, with frequent visits to mills and manufacturing facilities

Work environment may include exposure to:

  • Varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes
  • Industrial environments requiring use of PPE
  • Remote‑controlled equipment and radio signal devices

Physical requirements include the ability to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, crouch, climb stairs
  • Lift up to 25 lbs
  • Maintain visual acuity, mobility, hearing, manual dexterity, and balance
  • Work extended hours as required

Travel Requirements

  • Approximately 75% travel (regional / customer‑site based)
  • Note: Previous DUI convictions may result in inadmissibility to Canada
