Job Description

Reporting to the designated Supervisor or Manager, this position is responsible for facilitating training of new and existing employees to ensure all existing pharmacy operating procedures and best practices are followed. Training may be delivered one-to-one or in groups, using approved training content where available (videos, job aids, quick reference guides, etc.).

Ability to travel, including overnight stays, is required on a regular basis as the client group is located throughout the province.

Your Day To Day

Responsibilities/Requirements

  • Facilitating training of new and existing employees on existing pharmacy operating procedures and best practices.
  • Re-training of current employees as needed.
  • Perform training evaluations to assess the effectiveness of existing materials and content.
  • Identify areas where work instruction, online courses, job aids etc. are required or where existing content needs to be updated.
  • Track employee training progress.
  • Provide regular feedback to the designated Manager or Supervisor as well as the training team.
  • Provide a safe, comfortable, environment to support learning.
  • Work with the designated Manager or Supervisor to modify or redesign training delivery, content, and/or activities to provide training accommodations as needed.
  • Travel is required on a regular basis as the client group is located throughout the province.


What You Bring To The Team

  • Registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Minimum of 2-3 years sector pharmacy operations experience coupled with strong pharmacy knowledge and subject matter expertise.
  • Experience facilitating 1:1 and/or group training.
  • Proficiency with the Telus Health Kroll systems
  • Proficiency with eMAR platforms
  • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate the needs of the trainees.
  • Ability to travel, including overnight stays, is required on a regular basis as the client group is located throughout the province.

Compensation Range: $58,000 to $72,000 annually Actual pay rate will be based on the individual candidate’s credentials and experience.

Location: Travelling to pharmacy locations across ON East
