Come transform the future with us!

What is a typical workday?

We’re looking for a high-energy, people-focused Regional Operations Manager to lead Dragonfly’s growing network across Australia. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives on developing others, leading from the front, and building strong, high-performing teams across multiple locations. This role is open to candidates located in Sydney or Melbourne.

About Dragonfly:

Dragonfly stands for a different way of doing e-commerce delivery in Australia. Drawing on over three decades of experience as a market leader in Canada, Dragonfly is a new subsidiary that is hitting the ground running. Using the latest technologies and the right people ensures greater efficiencies, better results, and a superior customer experience.

At Dragonfly, it’s the littlest details that make the difference. We are a fast-paced company with a firm grip on market growth. We boast an agile working environment and do not shy away from challenges. Every member of our team is on the ground to guarantee on-time deliveries to doorsteps all around Australia.

As Regional Operations Manager, you will lead and optimise Dragonfly’s operations across the region, currently spanning five locations with further expansion planned. This is a key leadership role focused on building a scalable, high-performing network while developing capable, confident leaders at each site.

You will play a critical role in shaping the way our stations operate day to day, coaching Depot Managers, strengthening accountability, and ensuring teams are supported, engaged, and set up for success. This role requires a hands-on leader who is comfortable being in the stations, working alongside teams, and stepping in to guide execution when it matters most.

With a strong focus on performance and consistency, you will use data, operational insight, and on-the-ground realities to monitor results, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive meaningful change across the network.

You will work closely with cross-functional partners including Finance, Sales, IT, HR, Network Support, and the Delivery Partner team, ensuring stations are aligned with company priorities, properly resourced, and able to execute effectively.

This role is well-suited to a commercially minded leader who combines strong operational discipline with a genuine passion for people, coaching, and building teams that take pride in their performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise operations, strengthen productivity, and improve performance at each station while supporting sustainable, long-term growth.

  • Partner with Finance to plan, manage, and execute budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement initiatives that improve efficiency while maintaining service quality.

  • Ensure stations consistently follow SOPs, procurement policies, audit requirements, and health and safety standards, embedding a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor operational and service quality across all locations, ensuring consistent delivery standards, strong customer outcomes, and adherence to company policies.

  • Work closely with Finance, Sales, IT, HR, Network Support, and the Delivery Partner team to align operational priorities, remove roadblocks, support network growth, and continuously improve end-to-end performance.

  • Lead and support the rollout of new processes, Methods of Procedure (MOP), and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring teams understand the “why” and are set up to execute effectively.

  • Mentor and coach Depot Managers, build leadership capability across the region, support succession planning, and foster a culture of ownership, engagement, and high performance.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of customer expectations and competitive pressures, ensuring operational decisions support reliable, high-quality service delivery.

  • Champion and embed company values across all stations, leading by example and creating an environment where teams feel supported, respected, and motivated to perform.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience in multi-site or regional operations management, ideally within logistics or last-mile delivery.

  • Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring skills.

  • Strategic planning and execution expertise.

  • Budget management, cost control, and KPI analysis capabilities.

  • Knowledge of procurement, SOPs, compliance, and audit processes.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to travel regularly across the region to operational sites.

Why Join Dragonfly?

  • Competitive remuneration package and additional earning potential with an achievable KPI driven bonus scheme.

  • Thorough onboarding and training program crafted to immerse you in the Dragonfly way, setting you up for success from day one.

  • Flexible working arrangements.

  • Enjoy a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Make a tangible and measurable impact.

  • Growth and development opportunities in both Australia and Canada.

  • Opportunity to make an impact and be a part of a rapidly growing Company.
