Job Description

Responsible for providing high level service to our clinicians and patients by assisting with accuracy of data for claim submission. Performs business office duties that support the anesthesia practice requiring the ability to multi-task efficiently.

At this time, US Anesthesia Partners does not hire candidates residing in California, Hawaii, or Alaska.

The base pay estimate for this role is $21.97 - $35.14 hourly. The final offer will depend on the skills, experience, and qualifications of the selected candidate. This range is for base pay only and does not include bonuses or other compensation. This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Bonuses are not guaranteed and are awarded based on company and individual performance.

Job Highlights

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ( The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)

  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with hospital site leadership, facility administration, medical staff, coworkers, and the public.
  • Communicates challenges and escalates concerns to site leadership to assist in resolution.
  • Keeps the office neat and organized.
  • Orders supplies as needed.
  • Maintains the call rooms.
  • Maintains the phones used by our providers.
  • Works within our EMR/hospital system to retrieve medical records.
  • Processes pain notes and other medical documents.
  • Handles phone calls; surgeon’s offices, patients, drug/equipment representatives, hospital staff, etc.
  • Processes patient clinical requests by working with MDs and RNs.
  • Works with the scheduling team for special case requests.
  • Thinks creatively, proposes new ideas, and finds new and improved ways of doing things.
  • Works in conjunction with other regions/pillars and other USAP departments as needed.
  • Performs administrative tasks to include meeting planning and logistics.
  • Travels to various sites facilities for business needs.
  • Facilitates on-boarding of new USAP staff and assists with acclimation and access.
  • Communicates key USAP wide messages or announcements on local announcement boards.
  • Serves as critical communicator and liaison to staff and patients for organizational navigation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES (KSAs):

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Hospital/Clinical Business Office experience.
  • Knowledge of hospital setting and physician business office procedures.
  • Skill in identifying and resolving problems.
  • Ability to prepare hospital specific records where paper charting is still in place in accordance with instructions and maintain compliance.
  • Ability to exercise a degree of initiative and good judgment and maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize duties to achieve ultimate goals by utilizing effective time management
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively orally and in writing, as well as electronically.
  • Computer savvy and familiar with standard office equipment.
  • Strongly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook and Excel particularly.
  • Proficient in electronic meeting software – GoToMeeting, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom.
  • Ability to perform work and maintain communication remotely.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Highly collaborative nature.
  • Time management and ability to multi-task.
  • Highly autonomous and self-directing.
  • Able to work in a matrix environment.
