The Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS) is excited to announce the opening of a Permanent Office Manager position at the Hinton Crown Prosecution’s Office, Alberta.
About the Role
As the Office Manager, you will play a vital role in overseeing the operations of the Hinton office, leading and supporting a dynamic team of around four members. In collaboration with the Manager of Legal Support & Administrative Services, you will assess the evolving needs of the office, develop staffing plans, and create opportunities for the team’s professional growth and skills enhancement.
This role also involves providing legal support to the Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor on complex and serious files (excluding homicide or death-related cases) and serving as the designated back-up for paralegals.
As the primary point of contact for day-to-day office operations, you will oversee staffing requirements, provide program updates, and ensure efficient office functionality. Your responsibilities will encompass budget management, recruitment, performance management, and other human resources processes. You will also manage infrastructure needs, IT and telecommunications support, equipment procurement, and contract management.
Your deep understanding of the criminal justice system and its processes will enable you to effectively manage resources, workflows, and priorities to ensure the smooth functioning of the office.
