Opportunity – Key Responsibilities

Core Mission:

The Regional Medical Lead is a subject matter expert responsible for providing medical leadership and support for the development and execution of the global and regional medical plans for the Therapeutic Dermatology (TD) business unit in the LATAM region, with a strong focus on Nemolizumab This role encompasses both pre- and post-launch medical strategy, developed in close collaboration with global, regional, and country medical leads.

This individual will strategically lead key components of the medical plan, including medical education, Investigator-Initiated Trials (IITs), Key Thought Leader (KTL) engagement, post-hoc analyses and publication strategy, internal learning and development, and engagement with medical societies.

The Regional Medical Lead is expected to operate with a high level of internal and external collaboration to strengthen Galderma’s patient- and stakeholder-centric approach and overall satisfaction.

What you will do:

• Provide leadership and overall management of all Medical Affairs activities for the Therapeutic Dermatology (TD) business unit in LATAM, with particular responsibility for nemolizumab
• Collaborate closely with country medical leads to ensure the effective implementation of robust medical plans and strategic Key Thought Leader (KTL) engagement initiatives
• In partnership with the Global Medical Indication Lead, develop and execute the medical strategy for nemolizumab in Prurigo Nodularis and Atopic Dermatitis across JPAC affiliates
• Develop and execute Medical Affairs strategies and plans aligned with unmet medical needs and patient access requirements, contributing to meaningful patient outcomes
• Adapt global Medical Affairs strategies and plans to regional and local needs
• Represent the region at key global and regional medical meetings
• Ensure the development and execution of an effective franchise medical communication strategy for each nemolizumabe indication, aligned with affiliate annual brand plans
• Lead scientific collaboration with the medical community, building and strengthening regional and local relationships with external experts
• Lead Phase IV studies, Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS), and regional data-gap analyses
• Identify regional and local professional society needs through close, empathetic engagement
• Develop and maintain best-in-class external Key Thought Leader (KTL) engagement strategies involving multiple stakeholders in Dermatology
• Develop and deliver internal training materials covering disease state and medical strategy for the emerging nemolizumab data .
• Support onboarding, training, and continuous development of country Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs)
• Ensure affiliates are equipped with high-quality medical materials to support successful medical launch execution
• Provide medical leadership and support to the Therapeutic Dermatology franchise, as needed, partnering with affiliate Medical Heads to enable the local implementation of global medical strategies and medical plans for key brands across countries
• Ensure all Medical Affairs activities are designed and executed in full compliance with company policies, governance requirements, and medical quality standards

Knowledge and Skills:

• 7+ years of successful experience in local or regional medical affairs role
• Pre-launch/launch experience with specialty medicines in the field of specialty product in dermatology / immunology / allergy / rheumatology required (ie: biologics)
• Business acumen and market knowledge is required. Must possess a thorough understanding of the regional markets, competitive landscape, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Leadership Capability. Able to achieve organizational focus on key priorities.
• Innovative thinking, good judgment, and sense of ethics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with key opinion leaders and the medical/scientific communities at large.
• Strong interpersonal skills - ability to interact with all levels within the organization and to deal with key opinion leaders and the medical/scientific communities at large.
• Ability to think strategically to guide publication-related activities in accordance with industry standards and good publication practices.
• Strong budget planning & execution expertise
  

Education:

• Medical Degree (MD), Medical scientific PhD or another adequate Natural Science (PharmD) higher degree is required. Dermatology or Immunology expertise is essential.
• Fluent English
