Job Description

Performs a variety of duties for the CAG Medical Organization (CMO) requiring veterinarian background. Presents medically in-depth seminars at regional, state, national and international conferences on Company products and services. Delivers specialized product education events. Establishes standard clinical studies, experimental practices and guidelines for R&D and operations. Provides medical direction to product design and generation, including clinical studies, analysis and interpretation. May provides input, strategy and oversight to appropriate medical journals and publications. Maintains established successful communications that sustain trust, good will and strategic relationships with relevant and key stakeholders that are important to Company success. Develops educational content and integrates Company products into educational efforts of teaching universities.

What can you expect in this role:

  • You build a local advocacy and education strategy and tactics on priority products and services aligned with the local commercial team.
  • You act as a subject matter expert on key products during development and on-market phases of the product life cycle, including opportunities for medical lead with franchise, and provide medical insight to the local commercial team.
  • You provide subject matter expertise, continuing education and outreach to KOLs, specialists and universities to build strong advocacy.
  • You find the right speaker and manage the speaker and the content for delivering valuable education to customers, working with the local commercial team.
  • You present medically in-depth seminars at conferences on products and services.
  • You deliver education on specialized products at various educational events, as well as interact with key opinion leaders (KOLs) regarding these products.
  • You localize the medical message of our products/ services and translate and medically review promotional/technical materials.
  • You create or support KOL in creating local evidence such as papers and local case studies.
  • You support local Professional Services Veterinarians (PSVs) by designing and developing medical content and training materials to educate them on the medical message and positioning of products and services
  • You design, develop, and deliver medical training to the sales team, working with PSVs.
  • Active participation in regional medical affairs training and business functions as identified.
  • You may be called upon to provide veterinary backup in specialized circumstances on escalated customer needs, based on leader guidance and business needs.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) required. Internal Medicine Specialism preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience in a veterinary practice in small animal medicine.
  • Fluency in English. Knowledge of Thai language is an advantage.
  • Willing and able to travel up to 30% within Thailand and to other Southeast Asia, Middle East countries and India (SAMI region).
  • Strategic Thinking with the ability to partner with IDEXX business leaders to design successful local medical advocacy and education strategy/tactics.
  • Critical Thinking: to develop or assess veterinary medical content and materials that will educate and help individuals understand the subjects being taught; to understand the needs of the individuals and judge what will work.
  • Decision Making: to determine and identify the best medical content and programs to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Verbal/written/interpersonal communication skills: to speak/present to groups of customers, employees, and all levels of management; high-level academia and clinical specialists, internal/external KOLs.
  • Agility with new technologies and interest in embedding AI and smart technology into business opportunities.
  • Ability to prove and succeed in navigating matrix organization and rapidly adapt to changing commercial opportunities or business expectations.
  • Familiarity with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine.
  • Must possess a demonstrated service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to gain in-depth understanding of the technology behind a variety of diagnostic testing, including technical specifications & medical applications.
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, professional integrity, and a solid work ethic.
  • High level of self-motivation – ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Computer skills, or the ability and desire to learn required skills, are necessary.
